Free pregnancy testing administered by a nurse
A positive pregnancy test (including those taken at home) suggests a high probability that you are pregnant. However, the result should be confirmed by an ultrasound exam.
Pregnancy consultation
One of the best choices you can make when faced with an unplanned pregnancy is to discuss your options in a safe, confidential setting. The Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center has trained staff and client advocates experienced in serving those facing the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy.
Medical consultation
Our medical staff is available to consult with you about your medical options. To ensure your comfort and well-being, we have female nurses and licensed medical personnel available who will be able to address your medical questions and concerns.
Ultrasound
Even if you have had a positive pregnancy test, it is important to have that test verified with an ultrasound exam.
Making a decision you feel good about includes getting all the information you need. If you are considering abortion, we can provide you with an ultrasound (you will need an ultrasound prior to an abortion) free of charge.
The ultrasound can answer the following questions:
1. Is the pregnancy located where it should be? (in the uterus and not in the fallopian tubes)
2. Approximately how far along am I?
3. Is there fetal cardiac activity?

We can help you find support and resources that are available in our community.
Material services
If you have need, we can offer you maternity clothes. Also if you choose to parent and have need, we can provide baby clothes and other baby necessities.
After-abortion care
If you have experienced an abortion in your past, whether 6 months ago or 20 years ago, we can help you find healing.
Men's mentoring
Trained male volunteers are here to talk with men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy with their partner. Click here for more information.
